Deflakers

Deflakers

Disc deflakers D are designed for deflaking of waste paper, machine broke, chemical pulp and for defibration of knotter-screening pulp and other sorts of rejects from separators.

Design

Disc deflakers D are designed for deflaking of waste paper, machine broke, chemical pulp and for defibration of knotter-screening pulp and other sorts of rejects from separators. Refiners and deflakers are delivered as single-disc machines with one working zone (sizes D1, D2, D3, DR2, DR3) or as double-disc machines with two working zones (size 2DR3). Capacity and efficiency of deflakers and refiners is continuously adjustable in a direct dependence on actual machine load ranging from 7 to 250 tpd.

Functional elements

  • KK intensive shortening (previously “K design“)
  • KF shortening with low fibrillation
  • UF general fibrillation
  • DH-SF high fibrillation with low energy consumption
  • FF-SFi high fibrillation (thin stocks)
  • SF high fibrillation (coarse stocks)
  • DD, D deflaking, refining and final fine dispersing

For presetting of required technological parameters and operating security, every disc refiner and deflaker is usually equipped with a sensor of input and output stock pressure value. Operating control and automatic regulation of disc refiners and deflakers are based on a control with automatic unit. When the machine is installed into a computer-controlled line, the computer fully provides the regulation of refining and deflaking processes.

Main parts

  • machine unit (1): machine body with complete bearing housing and removable working box
  • oil level indication (2)
  • automatic positioning (3)
  • combined stuffing box (4)*)
  • functional elements: stator and rotor plate with refining or deflaking functional elements
  • flexible coupling (5); servomotor (6)
  • electric motor (7)
  • base rails or frame (8)

*) it is possible to use cleaned supply water (max. 50 mg/l NL) as a sealing water for the DR2, DR3 and 2DR3 refiners

Material

  • refining and deflaking functional elements are made of special alloyed cast steel
  • the rotor, cover and working box are made of stainless steel
  • the sealing body is made of bronze (type D)
  • stainless steel is with the DR2, DR3 and 2DR3 refiner
  • other parts are made of structural steel
  • all parts coming in contact with the stock are protected against corrosion

Accessories

  • local control unit
  • a set of tools for a repair of the main shaft setting and manipulation with a rotor covered with garnitures
  • pressure sensors with manometers and pressure switch (not part of standard delivery)

Advantages

  • automatic regulation of refining process
  • low demands on maintenance
  • wide range of refining and deflaking discs
  • machine design and work safety are in compliance with EU standards
