Steinerfilm® K refers to special papers that are used as a dielectric in capacitors - historically, by the way, the oldest dielectric.
These capacitors require special so-called oil impregnations in order to suppress the air gaps between the pores and the associated negative effects of partial discharges.
The most common thicknesses are 6 to 15 µm and the usual metallization is aluminum vapor-deposited on both sides.
