The FNMT-RCM is responsible for the production of fundamental documents in the life of the citizen that guarantee their identity and recognize their aptitudes and rights. The authenticity of these documents and the confidentiality of the data is essential in a state of law. Manufacturing documents protected against forgery and manipulation, produced in a secure environment, with the maximum guarantee and quality, is one of the characteristic activities of the FNMT-RCM.
State-of-the-art technologies
To prevent counterfeiting, the FNMT-RCM incorporates the most advanced graphical and logical security systems into identification documents: iris printing, variable optical effect inks, laser engraving, surface embossing, contact chip and radio frequency, among others. In the same way and in order to prevent the fraudulent manipulation of the data consigned in legally issued documents, security plastics are used that cannot be removed without rendering the document useless.
The manufacturing processes of these documents have the most innovative technologies and the strictest quality and safety controls.
All this ensures the absence of defects in the products delivered to the customer and a full guarantee for the end user in the treatment of confidential data.

The DNI 3.0 awarded at the High Security Printing Europe Conference 2016
At the High Security Printing Europe conference, held in Bucharest on March 15, 2016, the electronic DNI 3.0, developed by the National Police Corps and the FNMT-RCM, won the first prize "Regional ID Document of the Year 2016".
These awards aim to promote the best developments in security printing, system infrastructure and its application to identity documents, passports and other types of security cards.
