Enzyme Treatments
ENZYMES A POWERFUL TOOL IN PULP AND PAPER INDUSTRY
PASTA BLEACHING
SERZYM RANGE
The SERZYM range are enzymes that allow an ecological reduction of between 10-20% in the consumption of chemical bleaching agents in the pulp bleaching process, such as hydrogen peroxide (TCF process) in the pulp, and savings in chlorine consumption. active (ECF process),
The objective of this application is to achieve higher whiteness values of the pulp without compromising its properties. This treatment minimizes the environmental impact of the bleaching process and allows economic savings to be achieved.
How does it work
The xynalase (enzyme) breaks down some of the hemicellulose (xylan) present on the fiber surface, allowing hydrogen peroxide, ozone, or chlorine to more effectively attack the lignin in the fiber. Bleaching agents get better access to lignin.
