EDAPLAN
The EDAPLAN® product line includes both dispersants and, under the name EDAPLAN® LA, leveling agents. MÜNZING offers a whole range of different chemistries as dispersants such as acrylic ester, olefin, fatty acid, and other higher molecular weight copolymers. Our portfolio of dispersants contains solutions for water-based, universal, solvent-based, high solids, and 100% solids systems. There are grades that stabilize via electrostatic, steric, and electrosteric repulsion. We offer effective solutions for organic pigments, carbon black, titanium dioxide, inorganic pigments, transparent iron oxides, “white fillers” (calcium carbonate, talc, etc.), and much more. Polymeric dispersants offer reduced grind viscosity and shorter dispersing times. In the final system, they provide high color strength, gloss, and color shade stability. They will provide improved compatibility with resin systems, resulting in fewer rub-out effects. Grades can be chosen to improve water resistance, film hardness and scrub resistance as well. As leveling agents under the brand EDAPLAN® LA, we can offer a range of different types such as acrylic copolymers, modified siloxanes, or esters. Leveling agents tend not to influence the surface tension but rather act at the air-liquid interface to improve characteristics of gloss and slip.
