Under the brand name DEE FO®, defoamers are available both as products with 100 % active content and as aqueous emulsions. The chemical compositions vary and range from products based on mineral oils, organo modified siloxanes, 3-dimensional siloxanes, alkoxylated special emulsions to silicone-free defoamers. Defoamers with and without solids (hydrophobic silica or wax) can be chosen. Since foaming can occur at many stages, we are able to recommend DEE FO® products to solve or prevent problems in application, transport and production. The defoamer break down the air stabilized in the liquid by surfactants and therefore prevent problems such as surface defects in paints and coatings. Many types are due to their nonionic character very compatible with a wide range of binder systems and other additive groups. All products are highly efficient and have excellent persistence in their intended application. Special types with low odor are also available for indirect food contact. The defoamers long-term efficiency, easy handling with perfect balance and high compatibility. In addition also excellent foam and micro foam suppression.
