HPLT Cast Valve Bodies

It seemed that the valve maker’s supplier was spending more time and money weld repairing this large valve body than the part was worth. In addition to all the associated quality issues, all that rework time created chronic delivery problems. MetalTek recognized this product as a prime candidate for our proprietary HPLT process, which avoids turbulence during pouring and eliminates the causes of imperfections leading to costly weld repair. Using this process, the part passed Dye Penetrant Inspection the first time with no weld repair. And the customer’s perpetual problem with quality and delivery of the valve bodies was solved.
