Lamella separator PDLA

Excellent spark capture and pre-separation with very low wear and low pressure drop

The lamella separator PDLA is an excellent pre-separator and spark arrestor that provides lower operating costs and longer life than cyclone-based pre-separators. The gas is led down into a lamella grid where larger dust particles are separated and large particles are broken up into smaller parts. Should glowing particles hit the lamella grid, they have time to burn out before they reach a textile filter. The PDLA lamella separator works as an excellent protection against fire in filters. The dust that is separated is discharged to the bottom of the lamella separator PDLA via a lock or screw according to your wishes as a customer.

Thanks to the low speed of the lamella grid, a construction with very low wear is obtained and the product has proven to withstand very difficult environments where cyclones, which naturally work at higher flow rates, wear out in a short time. The design can be adapted to the grain size to be separated from the gas. Normal pressure drop for the lamella separator PDLA is in the order of 250-350 Pa to be compared with cyclones up to 1,000 Pa.
