Centrifugal scrubber KACS

Combined purification and heat recovery

The KACS centrifugal scrubber combines wet washing of gases with open heat exchange between liquid and hot gases. It can be used to advantage in combustion processes with wet fuels, the wetter the higher the heat exchange in the heat exchange. The compact design with a cyclone means that the installation dimensions are much smaller than a conventional wet scrubber. The hot gas meets a fine liquid mist where both a countercurrent heat exchange takes place as well as the capture of particles. Since the heat exchange takes place directly between liquid and gas, it becomes very efficient. The scrubber water is then purified via adapted filters so that Svenskt Vatten's standards are met.

Centrifugal scrubber KACS is very flexible and can capture particles as well as odors depending on how it is equipped and used.
