The divisions of Timber Automation provide custom engineered equipment and control systems for woodyards and sawmills that maximize yield, increase uptime, and reduce production costs. Timber Automation began first as Hi-Tech Engineering in the early 90s and more recently as Baxley-LogPro from the mid-2000s.
In 2017, we announced the formation of Timber Automation, LLC, combining the Timber Automation divisions of Baxley Equipment, LogPro and the new Timber Automation Construction division. Together, these complementary teams provide manufacturing of custom equipment with turnkey construction and installation.
In 2018, Timber Automation announced the acquisition of its newest division VAB Solutions. VAB Solutions offers a wide range of technology solutions for lumber production lines from sawing to planing, designed to uncover hidden value in every piece of lumber. Timber Automation knew adding a solid technology innovator to its complementary product categories would provide an extra edge in continuing to create industry-leading offerings for customers.
Maintaining our strong divisions, we continue to deliver the best woodyard and sawmill equipment, while bringing a team of forestry product experts who are focused on consulting, planning, engineering, and producing to work for you. Together we are committed to providing the same excellence you have always expected from us in quality, value, innovation and service.
As Timber Automation, we now employ over 250 people from our 145,000 sq ft office and fabrication facility located on 13.9 acres in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and our 45,000 sq ft fabrication facility in Baxley, GA, and our Canadian operations facility in Lévis on the south shore of Québec City.
