Designed by Eng. Gazza in 1960, is located in northern Italy in the heart of the Po Valley, notoriously rich in poplar.

Italy has a great deal of experience in poplar cultivation which is known for its excellent quality and rapid growth.

Sicem Saga, the first to produce chemimechanical pulp from chips with the use of disc refiners, in 1961 after a year of production introduced a highly innovative production system.

This method, continuously modified and perfected with subsequent patents, has proved to be the key to the production of new high-yield paper pulps, of remarkable fineness and constant quality. The extreme versatility of the plant allows the production of "customized" pastes according to the customer's needs.
