Coated paper

For backing papers to be coated, Sicem Saga, thanks to a patented process, has for years tested a really interesting type of chemimechanical poplar TCF paste.

The smooth surface, obtainable with poplar CMP, allows massive uses in the dough (up to 60%) with truly excellent results.

Every manufacturer of these papers knows how important it is to have a good support with a poorly porous surface and without splinters that can come off under the pressure of the blade.

The practically irrelevant swelling of this fiber is also very important, especially in web offset printing.

Unlike fir pastes, which explode on the surface due to the effect of the ink giving the paper a macroporous appearance, the poplar CMP fibers guarantee a smoother and brighter print. This feature is most noticeable in high ink coverage matte coats.
