AboutSalzer Papier GmbH

Paper production with tradition

At the site of today's paper factory in St. Pölten Stattersdorf, paper has been produced since 1579. At the end of the 18th century (1798) the factory came into the possession of the Salzer family, who still run it today.

The St. Pölten location primarily produces 100% wood-free voluminous papers ( SALZER EOS), which are mainly used in the field of high-quality books (hardcover and premium softcover). Lightly wood-containing book papers ( SALZER AURA) and high-quality, wood-free design papers complement the graphic products. With the development of voluminous fat barrier papers for food packaging (LipoPack), Salzer is building a new mainstay for the next generations.

Our papers are suitable for all common printing processes, and Salzer Papier also produces specially suitable qualities for digital letterpress printing.

Salzer Papier is the long-term and stable partner for European publishers, printers and wholesalers. We manufacture high quality products with the most modern equipment, which offer our customers optimal properties for the printing and finishing of books and other printed products and which are a calling card for the high quality products of European publishers.

Sustainable by tradition. Since 1798.
