MTR Martco

James H. Martindale started Martco Inc. with 3 employees in a small office in Middletown, Ohio after leaving his position with Black Clawson’s Shartle/Pandia division as Manager of Engineering. Martco built a strong customer base providing new components, rebuilds and repairs to the Pulp and Paper Industry

Martco Inc. moved to a new facility and its current location on Yankee Rd. in Middletown, Ohio. The new manufacturing facility allowed Martco to expand its product lines, and added roll grinding capability.

Continued growth required numerous building expansions and the addition of various machining and fabricating equipment. Martco Inc. continued to add to its product lines, and commitment to furnish cost effective alternatives for components, and replacement parts. Martco inc. starts their Pulper drive exchange program.

James Martindale retires, and sells Martco Inc. to John R. Martindale. John had worked for the company since 1971 in various manufacturing, and sales positions. John continued to grow the business, and add manufacturing capacity to satisfy customer needs.
