We would like to introduce our products to you here and give you the opportunity to obtain detailed information. We are a production company and only supply business customers, the self-employed, authorities, institutes and the like. Deliveries to private individuals are not possible. Due to our very wide range, not all lists are complete, so please contact us for items or designs that you cannot find in the lists. Our company was founded in 1946 by Herbert Puttrich and two other shareholders under the name "Hessische Papierverarbeitung GmbH". Since this name could not be entered in the commercial register for reasons of competition law, the name was changed to the imaginary name "HERA Papierverarbeitung" in 1948.
From 1949 Herbert Puttrich continued to run the business as a sole proprietorship. The production program at that time consisted of writing pads, letter folders with letterheads and hand-glued envelopes, bundles of cigarette paper and artificial flowers, but also machine-made flat bags. In 1954 the company moved to its own hall in Nidda, which was initially only 300 m² in size, but was expanded over time to a total of 1,500 m². During this time, the company specialized more and more in the production of flat bags, photo paper goods and custom-made products; For example, special covers for optical document reading (correction covers) have been developed for banks.
In 1976 the opportunity arose to take over approximately 6000 m² production facilities in Nidda-Oberschmitten, in which there is enough space for the installation of the most diverse machine types and storage capacities for many different types of paper and finished goods. The number of employees gradually grew to around 45.
Since 1992 the company has had the legal form of a GmbH & Co. KG, initially with the managing partners Hagen Puttrich and Herbert Puttrich, and since 2006 with Hagen Puttrich alone. The range of stock types and custom-made products is constantly being expanded. Special products are still being developed, such as brochure covers and transparent covers made of glassine, document pouches made of paper, etc.
In 2016, the employees and machines of the company Philform, Nidda-Harb, were taken over, whereby the production program was expanded to include the production of rolls and formats, in particular made of parchment and parchment replacement paper.
On January 1st, 2018, Jens Vonderheid, a long-time member of the management level, became the owner and sole managing director.
