1963
The first cutter with the founders of the company
Ghezzi & Annoni was born in 1962 from the entrepreneurial spirit of its two founders, Rinaldo Annoni and Albino Ghezzi who in 1963 built the first Slitter-Rewinder destined to produce self-adhesive tapes.
Since its origins the company has moved with a global vision of the market. After the first machines delivered to Italian companies, Slitter-Rewinders were installed in various parts of the world.
This has allowed the company to operate with broader commercial criteria and logic, guidelines on which the company has laid the foundations for its future success.
In the mid-1970s, with the advent of Messrs. Eliseo Annoni and Romano Stefanoni, current President and Vice-president of the company, the foundations were laid for further technical and commercial development.
In a short time, the Slitter-Rewinders for self-adhesive tapes were followed by:
- PACKAGING AND BOXING MACHINES so as to create integrated and automated production lines.
- CUTTERS-REWINDERS FOR PATCHES, a sector in which G&A is the undisputed leader.
- REWINDERS, with the construction of the FIRST FULLY AUTOMATIC REWINDER
- CUTTER-REWINDERS FOR LAMINATED MATERIALS AND LABELS
- COATING MACHINES, whose production began in 1995 so as to be able to offer customers a "complete package". From parent reel to palletizing.
All machines inspired by innovation, automation and with great attention to customer needs.
The great experience and continuous research allow the company to accept the challenges of a globalized market and to look to the future with optimism.
Future that is guaranteed by the third generation: Dr. David Annoni, Sales Manager and Engineer Tiziano Stefanoni, Technical Director continue the work started over half a century ago.
G&A history is full of firsts. From the first fully automatic Slitter-Rewinder built in 1980 up to the present day with the RS80 / BA model - the most performing Slitter-Rewinder in the world with almost 6 CYCLES PER MINUTE.
