discarded jeans
Jeans are made of cotton and cotton is also one of the raw materials for some artists' papers. The link between paper and residual fibers from textile recycling was therefore quickly established for us during a tour of a factory where old, discarded jeans were processed into new yarns. We noticed that this process also releases fibers that are too small to make clothing again, but that are the right size for making paper. The result: a new, special type of paper that consists of 50% recycled jeans fibres.
Thanks to the addition of the jeans fibres, our jeans paper has a soft touch and a characteristic jeans blue color that provide a unique and luxurious look. The paper is easy to print, crease and fold and is already used in the hobby market and for the manufacture of luxurious carrier bags, boxes and labels for packaging, for example… jeans! We can produce this in various grammages and formats and it can be supplied both on rolls and in sheets.
