Waxing is the process of apply wax to make the paper moisture resistant.
Waxed papers are used to help wrap and protect products from moisture, grease, and oil.
Nichols Paper provides three waxing options for your coating and lamination needs:
Wet Waxing – the process in which the wax coating is applied to one or both sides of the paper. The wax creates a smooth film on the surface of the paper.
Dry Waxing – the process in which wax is impregnated into the paper.
Wax Lamination – the process of bonding two substrates for increased strength and a multi-ply barrier.
