Power Plant

It was with a view to giving fresh impetus to the tempo of growth that MIL Board of Directors opted for the setting up of a Power Plant at the paper Unit .

Paper Complex : Initially we had set up a 3MW Power plant at the paper complex. It met our requirement to the fullest extent. Boosted by the success of 3MW power plant, we set up yet another 15MW power plant instead to opting for supply of power by the MSEB. This was essentially designed to meet our power requirement for the newly launched Writing & Printing unit. With the setting up of SBS unit, as the requirement of power went up, the company went in for the upgradation of 15MW Power Plant to 16MW.

Cement Unit : The Company has installed 3 X 16.50 MW power plant at its Naranda cement unit. This power plant, which is running at its 100% capacity, is fully capable of meeting the company's power requirement thereby ensuring unhindered production.

There is no denying the fact that these Power Plants have had a pivotal role in the successes earned by the Company.
