Overlay papers, with a grammage of 18 to 45 g/m2, are used to create a protective layer on floors, kitchen countertops and decorative panels (high pressure laminates, HPL, and low pressure laminates, LPL). Made from clean, pure bleached cellulose pulp, these papers are designed to be very strong and absorbent to withstand various levels of wear abrasion. Our papers form a film for the melamine resin that is embedded in the fiber structure. This improves the appearance of patterned decorative papers while enhancing their resistance to abrasion and durability.
