In-mould label and flexible packaging solutions

RayoForm™ and Propafilm™ films are integral parts of the rigid and flexible packaging design for cheese, butter, spreads and other deli items that are stored in refrigerated conditions.

In-mould packaging containers provide a robust pack for a range of soft dairy products.  When the label and rigid packaging resins are matched, this creates a preferred pack type for recycling.

RayoForm™ white and clear BOPP films offer better dispensing, low distortion and different surface effects to help differentiate brands. All RayoForm™ substrates have been specifically engineered to achieve these properties whilst also providing very high yield and improved economics.

Block cheese require some very specific properties and our Propafilm™ Strata films can be used to replace laminates where specific gas barrier is required. Propafilm™ MVU can also be used for laminate constructions which can be strip metallised providing good extrusion bond strength to EVA.

As brands look to simplify the mix of materials in flexible packaging for products such as shredded/grated cheese, multi-layer extruded high barrier Propafilm™ Strata films are an ideal choice for packaging engineers as it maintains oxygen barrier at high humidity.  It is also an ideal solution for the growing trend for stick packs for dairy products such as yoghurt.
