FLOTAMET™- Anaerobic wastewater treatment

To effectively treat wastewaters rich in fats, oil, grease, and solids, GWE combined several of its highly effective technologies and created the FLOTAMET^TM System. It has proven to be one of the most reliable and efficient technologies to treat wastewaters from the dairy, fish, and food processing industries around the world.

The FLOTAMET™ System is a flotation-separation type of anaerobic treatment process, consisting of a mixed anaerobic reactor - GWE’s ANAMIX^TM, followed by a sludge separation stage utilizing biogas flotation, in our SUPERFLOT™ - BIOGAS.

Even with highly variable wastewater compositions, the GWE FLOTAMET^TM has managed to reach > 96% COD removal - 99% with the aerobic polishing step.

The combination of an Anaerobic Digester - Organic wastes digestion and an external sludge separation unit solves many operational problems that other anaerobic technologies face when treating wastewaters with such high concentrations of pollutants.
