Water recycling

Water has an important role in the process of the paper production. We need it for the dissolving and purification of the raw material (recovered paper) as well as a transport medium for the recovered pulp. On the paper machine the paper web will be built by a mixture of about 99 % water and 1 % papermaking fibres on a wire area. Then the paper web will be drained and dried in several operational steps. The recovered water will be re-circulated again and again. Only a relatively small part of waste arises. In our purification plant it will be purified mechanically and biologically in a complex multistage procedure.

With daily tests the quality of the waste will be checked and the meticulous environmental compliance will be guaranteed. The biogas which arises from the purification of the waste will be used in the in-house block heating station and returned for the generation of electricity and heat.
