As a major supplier of packaging to the UK's leading retailers and brand owners we have joined Sedex and are regularly audited ensuring that we surpass the ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative) standards.
Manufacturing in the UK since 1858 we have long since had a positive and communicative relationship with our Unionised work-force. Our highest priority remains the safe working environment of our colleagues.

1858
Bibby & Baron founded; Mr Bibby & Mr Baron begin making paper bags
1889
Bibby & Baron win silver medal at the Paris Exposition for the first automated bag machine
1890
Bibby & Baron reveal a contraption with printing stations around a central drum – the first flexo printing press
1934
Welton Bag Company opens a bag making factory in Welton, Somerset
1960
Both companies start manufacturing the then new "polythene"
1999
Welton joins Bibby & Baron to enable the widest possible range of paper bag manufacturing
2005
Opened Welton Bibby & Baron Slovakia
2013
Welton Bibby & Baron move to brand new state-of-the-art Westbury production and distribution facility.
2014
New fully automated high-rack warehouse increasing our storage beyond 30,000 pallet spaces
