Teknatool® International has been a global manufacturing exporter since 1980 with facilities in New Zealand, China and the US. We are a Kiwi (New Zealand) family owned and operated company. We’re passionate about the development of emerging technology and ‘Next Generation’ export ideas.

In each of our global locations, we’ve invested in the country; providing jobs, buying from local providers and paying tax dollars that contribute to the local economies. We’re proud that our success contributes to a vibrant and healthy local economy.

We’re currently expanding from our traditional market in DIY/Woodworking/Woodturning (wood turning) into metal, motor, driver and generator technologies. We’re continuing to develop and commercialize our proprietary intelligent drive technology, the DVR smart motor, under a subsidiary company (Striatech). This cutting edge, energy efficient technology can be incorporated into a wide range of products. The expansion of this division of our company will transition us from a traditional niche machinery manufacturer into a global technology solutions provider.

Teknatool®, under the NOVA brand, continues to collect accolades in the industry, being awarded the Top 5 of ‘the 25 Most Innovative Products of Past 25 years’ by Wood Magazine (for the invention of the 4-jaw self centering chuck) and consistently voted ‘Best Value’ and ‘Peoples’ choice’ in independent product tests.
