About us

We are Nordic Paper

We have been producing paper in Scandinavia since the late 19th century and continue to make top-quality paper and pulp that suits our customers’ needs today. We are an independent manufacturer and our modern paper and pulp mills are the heart of our business.

Living and working in the heart of Scandinavia, we are surrounded by nature, where the vast forests of inland Sweden and Norway provide the raw materials for the premium Natural Greaseproof and Kraft paper we produce. As the northernmost producer in the world, the nature here is a vital factor in the premium quality of our paper: the short summers and cold winters mean our trees grow more slowly, creating stronger fibres and enabling us to make stronger paper.

Our vision is that Nordic Paper will be the natural leader in specialty paper. We work on the basis of the values: responsibility, respect, cooperation and development.

We are your global paper partner; today we supply customers in more than 70 countries. We deliver the paper you want with the specifications you need. We work with you to develop and manufacture exactly the right paper to help you do better business.

History

Nordic Paper’s history traces back to the late 1800s, with the establishment of the Bäckhammar mill in 1871. The Säffle mill was later established in 1883 followed by the establishments of Åmotfors mill and Greåker mill in 1896 and 1905 respectively. Over the years, the company has developed a strong expertise of delivering premium quality kraft paper and natural greaseproof paper to customers world-wide. The current production structure of Nordic Paper was established in 2008 when Nordic Paper acquired Wermland Paper.
