AboutNippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd

Walk with paper, and to the future.

Nippon Paper Industries has continued to move forward with the history of Japanese paper.
We have always believed in the potential of paper and have grown as the times change.
We are still exploring and evolving, such as expanding the scale of the company through mergers and establishment of joint ventures, and making it a holding company.

By reorganizing the group on October 1, 2012, and by shifting to an operating company system in April 2013, we strengthened cooperation with the paperboard business and chemical products business. Through corporate management that makes use of group synergies, all employees will continue to work together to open up the future and grow to become a company that is truly needed by the world.

Growth strategy

By strengthening the "three cycles" that take advantage of the characteristics of wood resources, we have achieved both "business growth" and "contribution to the construction of a recycling-oriented society."

A company that contributes to the development of affluent lifestyles and culture by providing a wide range of products that contribute to the formation of a sound-cycle society by utilizing various technologies and know-how based on the effective use of renewable wood resources.

Sustainable forest resource circulation

  • Pursuing maximization of forest value through approximately 170,000 ha of plantations and company-owned forests owned in Japan and overseas
  • Developed unique breeding and breeding technology in the field of Amsel's plantations, greatly improving the productivity of Amsel's plantations
  • Expand breeding and breeding techniques to other forests, increase the fixed amount of CO 2 per unit area , and improve the productivity of forest management.

Circulation of wood resources used in a wide variety of ways with technological capabilities

  • Develop various environment-friendly products using wood resources and promote the expansion of CO2 fixed amount
  • Achieve business growth and promote carbon circulation through wood resources by using biomass materials such as CNF and Minerpa® and new biomass fuels.
  • Nippon Paper Crecia's "long-lasting roll" and CNF-reinforced resin that enables weight reduction will help reduce CO2 emissions during transportation.

Active product recycling

    • Actively work on the utilization of unused used paper, which has been difficult to recycle.
    • Build a recovery scheme for paper cups, paper carton products, and barrier paper materials to minimize the environmental burden
