Neenah Coldenhove was founded in 1661 in Eerbeek, the Netherlands. It has been an independent family business for over three centuries, and we are proud of that. It enabled us to grow into what we are today: a state-of-the-art paper mill that is known for its innovative paper solutions. Neenah Coldenhove serves customers all over the world. The product portfolio ranges from traditional paper grades of high quality to patented high-tech digital sublimation transfer paper. Thanks to our focus on the development of new paper applications, Neenah Coldenhove remains a leading company in the paper industry.

History of Neenah Coldenhove

Neenah Coldenhove is our trading name. The full name however is: Neenah Coldenhove Holding B.V. Already in 1661, the Boshoff family selected the highest location at Eerbeekse Beek (Eerbeek Brook) as construction site for their new paper mill. Apart from that, the family owned many hectares of land around the factory on which it planted thousands of trees. This forest still exists and is currently still partly the property of Neenah Coldenhove, which since 1924 is owned by the families Sanders and Van Vreeswijk.

Already since its foundation, over three and a half centuries ago, Neenah Coldenhove has a name to uphold with high-quality paper for special applications. From time immemorial Neenah Coldenhove has a rock-solid market position with traditional products such as cardboard for the folder industry, and special envelope paper. In the nineteen seventies, Neenah Coldenhove developed a portfolio with transfer papers for rotary screen printing, Screencol; herewith the enterprise set its first steps in the printing industry.

When by the end of the nineteen nineties digitalization started in industrial printing as well, the high-tech product Jetcol® was developed, a very successful patented paper for digital sublimation transfer printing. Since the introduction of Jetcol®, Neenah Coldenhove has played a leading role worldwide in this industry; following and/or pushing developments, the company has meanwhile developed a broad assortment of transfer paper for many different applications.
