M & K Trading Ltd go back to the early 1990s when Mike Irving, managing director and joint owner, began dealing in machinery. Having worked at all levels in the industry, from shop floor to boardroom since 1977, Mike is well placed to offer sound advice and assistance on box manufacturing – an impartial best fit approach rather than the “Hard Sell”.

Mike and Karen Irving began in partnership with the Vaggelli Group of Florence, Italy, in 1992, but decided to break away in June 2000 to form M & K Trading Ltd selling used machinery and to represent manufacturers such as Massenzana, Sealmac, and Engico.

The business has developed over the years into an organisation that employs fourteen engineering, administration and sales staff, operating from 18,000ft of office and workshop space. Based in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, UK, the company is close to several major airports and the junction of the A14/M11 and the A1, making M & K Trading easily accessible to the whole of the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Rapid growth has been achieved in this time with the utilisation of both combined in-house and trusted contract engineers resulting in successful projects in locations from Australia to Mexico, Scotland to Kent and Suffolk to Limerick. And now with more agencies, M & K Trading can offer a complete service – to Main Board and Sheet Plants – whether they require a new or used corrugator, conversion machine or component.

Long established relationships with clients are enjoyed by the company, and much of M & K’s work is repeat business going back over many years. What sets us apart from our competitors is the way we deal with the problems.
