History of our companies

Lecta's origins date back to the acquisition, between 1997 and 1999, of three companies with a long tradition in their home markets: Cartiere del Garda in Italy, Condat in France and Torraspapel in Spain. Lecta Ltd. is the ultimate parent company of the Lecta Group, with participations held by multiple equity funds and investors. Its offices are located in London.

Message from the CEO

Lecta is in the process of a profound strategic transformation begun several years ago. It entails reshaping the company into a multiproduct manufacturer of specialty papers for labels, flexible packaging and other high added-value products, such as our premium publication papers. Significant investments and the launches of new product lines to expand our portfolio are the best indication of our progress.

The company has also adapted to new market and consumer needs. Consumers are increasingly concerned with protecting the environment and the planet. This represents a social and ethical challenge for all of us.

Lecta will continue to invest in new growth markets responsibly, conducting our activity in keeping with the highest sustainability standards and criteria. Providing value with our products, and contributing to creating a more sustainable world.

At Lecta, we continue our search for innovative solutions based on natural, renewable raw materials to create new environment-friendly functional papers. In doing so, we prioritize the efficient management of natural resources and the quality of the products we offer to customers who place their trust in us.

The health and safety of our employees also remains a top priority. It guides our teams, our processes and our daily management and operations. Thus, in response to the challenges presented by the pandemic, we quickly took action with measures and protocols to mitigate any impact on our employees and protect their health and safety.

Having overcoming the most difficult times, we continue to make safety our top priority. I take great pride in thanking all our employees and partners for their deep commitment to ensuring safety first now as well as in the future.
