JANKA is one of the oldest air conditioning and air conditioning manufacturers in the world. Its roots date back to 1872, when Jan Janka in Prague started the operation of the original tinsmith workshop. The emerging company moved to Prague in 1907 - Radotín. After the Second World War, nationalization came, the enterprise was expanded and its products supplied the entire Eastern European block.
After 1989 there were a number of organizational and property changes. In 1998 JANKA Radotín became part of the American multinational holding Lennox . In 2009 it was taken over by the international group LEEL Electricals Ltd. (formerly known as Lloyd Electric & Engineering Ltd.) based in New Delhi, India, a major manufacturer of air conditioning units for trains, train sets and metro and heat exchangers in the field of heating, ventilation, cooling and air conditioning. With the new owner, the production was also extended to air conditioning equipment for rolling stock.
