AboutForest Paper

Our story

Our history begins in 1981, where we only managed the waste of a large paper industry at the time. Soon after, the operations were closed and we started to offer newsprint, coated paper and shavings in reels to the market. Shortly afterwards, we understood the market movement where the converters bought the paper reel, cut them into commercial formats and then passed the products on to the distributors.

In this scenario, the company purchased its first machine, a Barban-branded paper cutter.

And so, we entered the distribution market throughout Brazil. At that time, we had just over 20 employees and it was located in the state of Paraná.

The development

In the 90's, the paperboard market began to appear in Brazil. Already stamping the name Forest Paper, we were the first company to create the national market for cardboard and graphics with cardboard.

It was at that time that we brought a Massos scott card-cutting machine from England, which is still in operation today.

The market continued to grow and the second machine came from Scotland directly to Brazil. The business literally began to take shape and volume, with a focus on the supply of packaging paper from the most varied commercial segments.

In 2015, the third machine joined our industrial park, coming from the USA. More recently, in 2014, we acquired the first Synchronized Marquip eCon in Latin America. Its advanced cutter machete is capable of producing precise cuts. eCon stacker side beaters ensure better stacking quality.

In the meantime, it is worth remembering that Forest Paper, born in Paraná (PR), opened a distributor in the city of São Paulo (SP) in order to better meet market demand and offer different formats and types of paper there.

The future

The last few years were marked by major acquisitions by Forest Paper: we acquired a conversion and distribution unit in the city of Mairiporã (SP), which makes the Forest Paper Group the largest paper converter and the second largest distribution center in Brazil. And also the incorporation of a Klabin unit, in the city of Lages (SC).

The advances do not stop there. At the end of 2020, the company inaugurated the expansion of its distribution unit in the neighborhood of Mooca (SP). Its location was strategically designed to help with logistics, further improving speed and ready-to-delivery stock to serve its customers.

The opening of this new business arm brought Forest Paper a new opportunity to enter the final products market, with a line of products such as Petpel and Papel Pintor.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we launched a new product from the cellulose extracted from recycling the boxes: Ambikraft, which is already a success! High resistance and great cost-benefit, ideal for the manufacture of packages, bags and bags.
