Planographic process

Planographic process

One of the most popular printing techniques is the indirect planographic printing process. In contrast to letterpress and gravure printing, with this printing technique the two printing components are on the same level. With this printing technique, the ink applied is not pressed directly from the printing plate onto the object to be printed, but rather by a printing roller. One of the best-known planographic printing processes is offset printing. But printing techniques such as lithographic printing, collotype printing, photochromic printing and polyfoil printing are also part of the planographic printing process.
