Worm Planetary Gear Boxes are basically planetary gear boxes, in which the first stage of reduction is achieved using a Worm-Worm wheel pair. These are typically used in space-constrained applications or for very low-noise requirement. Worm-Worm wheel pair gives an irreversible drive.
