Segezha Group offers customers high-quality sawn softwood timber produced at state-of-the-art high-tech factories in Siberia and the north-west of Russia.
SPECIES PORTFOLIO
Each of Segezha Group’s five sawmills specialises in its own unique timber base and has its own approach to sorting finished products, shipping methods and export destinations.
The production sites located in the north-west specialise in the production of sawn timber from spruce and pine. Lesosibirsky LDK No. 1, located in Krasnoyarsk Krai, produces sawn timber from Angara pine, spruce, fir and Siberian larch.
PRODUCT QUALITY
For sawmills located in the north-west of Russia, technical specifications are based on Nordic Timber sorting rules. At Lesosibirsky LDK No. 1, two federal standards are used as sorting rules: GOST 26002-83 for exports and GOST 8486-86 for the domestic market.
Segezha Group dries its sawn timber in specialised drying chambers. As a result, the bulk of the Company’s product achieve a shipping moisture content of 20% (+/-2%).
