Drum Pulper Drives

The high cost of raw material for pulp production, recycled paper is an important component in fibre, paper and tissue processing. David Brown Santasalo drum pulper drives are built to deliver outstanding efficiency and comprise a multi-segmented ring gear with the pinion attached directly to the gear unit. David Brown Santasalo ring gears can be delivered individually or as a fully optimised system encompassing a gearbox, ring gear, pinions, barring drive and auxiliary equipment.

• Simple lubrication and cooling allows the system to operate at various speeds including barring, with use of external lubrication as required

• Girth gears manufactured to 14 m diameter and 105,000 kg

• Pinions are designed to give the highest torque transmission capability and available as integral or bored designs
