Material Execution 1A – Soft seated Control Valve with hard chromed ball sector DN 25 – DN 300

The Ramén Ball Sector Control Valve in material execution 1A is a stainless steel AISI 316 soft seated Control Valve with a carbon/graphite reinforced PTFE seat ring and a hard chrome coated ball sector.

KS-1A is recommended in cases where the purity of the fluid is unknown or if the pressure and/or temperature is not fully known. This valve with PTFE seat is tight in closed position and may easily be converted on site into a metal seated valve with hard chromed ball sector element refer to KS-1B. KS-1A is excellent for wastewater, fibre suspensions and other abrasive media. KS-1A is also the choice for a tank bottom valve (operated on liquids, slurries or dry powder) where optimum shut off tightness is required and the soft seat is exchanged when needed rather than accepting a metal seat shut off leakage rate.
