ENGINEERING DESIGN FOR INDUSTRIAL PLANTS

ENGINEERING DESIGN FOR INDUSTRIAL PLANTS

ENGINEERING DESIGN FOR INDUSTRIAL PLANTS

Utilising the latest analysis software, combined with practical industrial experience and standards, we deliver innovative and cost-effective engineering design and draughting solutions for large manufacturing and processing plants.

Our design team turns your concepts into practical and functional solutions. We utilise SolidWorks, AutoCAD, AutoPIPE, Inventor and the latest 3D scanning technology to create 2D drawings, 3D models and simulations that provide accurate designs and drawings so you can envisage your project as it is developed.

MEL has CPENG capability to deliver complete design solutions.

Solutions Include:

  • Mechanical, electrical, structural and process design
  • Process & Instrumentation drawing (P&ID)
  • Piping design and pipe stress analysis
  • Plant & equipment layouts
  • Reverse engineering
  • Reliability and process improvements
  • Replacement of existing equipment
  • New builds
  • Specification development

We also do project management for the installation of industrial equipment.

INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT DESIGN.

We specialise in the design and supply of difficult to procure industrial equipment. Working with national and international material suppliers, machine and fabrication specialists and logistics partners to deliver customised solutions fast.

DESIGN ANALYSIS

Using modern analysis tools and our experience we can quickly provide and test options and optimise the solution in terms of design performance and cost. For this we are using:

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)A numerical method used for the prediction of how a part or assembly behaves under given conditions.
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)In a CFD analysis, the examination of fluid flow in accordance with its physical properties such as velocity, pressure, temperature, density and viscosity is conducted. To virtually generate a solution for a physical phenomenon associated with fluid flow, without compromise on accuracy, those properties have to be considered simultaneously.
  • Strain Gauge Capability.Provide test data to assist in identifying the stress, mechanical failure or fatigue to verify your design, uncover weak points, and/or validate your FEA.
