Signum

Watermarks are among the most traditional and secure features in banknotes and passports. They are well known and accepted by the public.

Highly precise designs make cylinder wire watermarks very attractive security features and are also extremely difficult to counterfeit. Landqart has a long experience in the production of various watermarks: portrait, electrotype or barcode watermarks. Now Landqart has developed a new type of watermark: Signum™.

Signum™ is a watermark with a distinctive, easy-to-recognize effect, opening up new possibilities for creative banknote designs. The special appearance of Signum™ is achieved by dark dots compared to the surrounding paper area and allows many different design possibilities.

design options

Signum™ is ideally combined with traditional cylinder screen watermarks to give the watermark additional impact. These creative design options give banknotes and passports an incomparable and eye-catching effect. By arranging the points in a targeted manner, individual patterns such as the value number or currency symbols can also be created.

safety

The dark dots are caused by a higher accumulation of paper fibers and this area in the paper is reinforced. Due to the higher optical density and thus increased paper strength in the area of ​​the watermark, Signum™ is also suitable for thin papers in multi-layer substrates (eg Durasafe ®). Because of the clear effect, Signum is easy to verify for everyone.
