Veneer-faced panels

Veneer-faced panels

A unique natural product, veneer is widely used in high-end furniture design and various home improvement applications.

To produce a veneer, timber is cut into thin layers called ‘leaves’ or ‘slices’, which are joined to particleboard or MDF using glue.

When the veneer is fixed to the board, it can be pressed according to a variety of requirements. These veneer-faced panels then pass through several sanding phases to create the final, smooth surface.

Kronospan’s expanding range includes particleboard and MDF faced with high quality, individual veneers; including oak, beech, maple, ash and many more. In addition, timber is exclusively sourced from only the best suppliers in the industry, thus ensuring only materials from well managed, sustainable forests are processed to become part of a Kronospan product.
