PWL-Series Open Tank Dissolved Air Flotation System (DAF Wastewater Systems)
Dissolved air flotation (DAF) is a proven and effective physical/chemical technology to treat industrial and municipal wastewater streams. A dissolved air flotation system is used to effectively remove suspended solids such as TSS, FOG, BOD, COD and other pollutants from wastewater. Conceptually, the DAF wastewater process is simple – tiny bubbles attach to solid contaminants causing them to float and then sludge is skimmed off the surface of the water! DAFs are commonly used to treat wastewater in a variety of industries including Food & Beverage Processing, General Manufacturing, Oil & Gas and many more!
JWC Environmental’s FRC PWL Open Tank Dissolved Air Flotation system is optimized for treating wastewater heavily loaded with solids that require significant amounts of free surface area for flotation and separation. The PWL is an open tank with low-built separators, meaning the tanks are only built as high as 8 to 10 ½ feet tall. PWL units are rectangular in shape and built wider and longer as the free separation area requirement increases.
