Cast resin Dry-type transformers

Thanks to the development in manufacturing techniques as well as the materials that are used (such as epoxy resin) they are increasingly used due to their high reliability and their low need for maintenance plans, as well as the added value of a lower environmental impact on comparison with other types of distribution transformers.

Cast resin transformers respond to this denomination by carrying the medium voltage winding encapsulated in resin, using both a thermal and vacuum treatment and a very specific and controlled gelation and polymerization process, which allow to give a fundamental dielectric and mechanical consistency.

In particularly unfavorable environmental conditions, such as the presence of moisture, industrial and marine pollution and the high risk of fire, our encapsulated dry transformers meet all the requirements for their use. In this way, IMEFY has completed a test for the environmental class E3 (IEC 60076-16 standard) in a 1000 kVA transformer, thus obtaining the E3-C2-F1 qualification.
