Most recently, we added a trio of ultramodern gear grinding systems from Reishauer; two model RZ260s and one RZ550, all equipped with advanced robotic automation systems from Felsomat. Paired with multi-pallet automation, these high-performance grinders have greatly improved gear grinding operations and efficiency at our Syracuse and Buffalo, New York facilities. In fact, the RZ260s feature a twin work spindle platform – further increasing productivity by minimizing part exchange wait time.
Other capabilities include super finishing and polish grinding on parts ranging from 0.5″ to 21.7″ in diameter, and the ability to accommodate a variety of part types, like spur gears, helical gears, and assemblies, giving Gear Motions a clear advantage in quality and turnaround time on small to high volume gear grinding jobs.
