Sludge scrapers for circular tanks

Finnchain has developed a special chain scraper system for circular sedimentation tanks, where collector chains move two or more bottom scrapers (and an attached surface skimmer when required) at the bottom of the tank. All the moving parts in the system are placed below the water surface, which protects them from freezing during winter. Keeping the parts below water also enables the easy covering of the tanks, and as the scraper rotates at the bottom, the covering can be attached to the tank walls. All the components in Finnchain’ system are made of corrosion-resistant fibreglass, plastic or stainless steel.
