The corrugating industry is one of the main and biggest part of the paper industry and the largest segment of the packaging industry. With more than 1,500 box plants in North America, the value of the US industry shipments increased to $26.4 billion in 2012, The export of corrugated boards sums for $2.3 billion in 2012, or a total of 22 percent of paper industry exports. Corrugated packaging is custom engineered to optimize material use. Since 2000, the amount of corrugated required to ship a unit of industrial production has declined in area by 13.7 percent.
The corrugated segment of the packaging industry is growing rapidly. Demand for corrugated packaged material is expected to increase by an average of more than 4% annually over the next five years, and will amount to almost 115 million tonnes of converted material worth an estimated $176 billion by 2019.
There are few trends that push the industry to this growth; Environmental Issues: environmental and sustainability investments been made in order to reduce costs combined with good PR for the companies, Lightweighting-we can see a continues reductions in substance weights,the out come is reduce in packaging weight and transport costs, the near future production is focused to 70-160gsm especially the new Chinese machines. Internet Shopping- the internet shopping is a trend that continues to expand very fast, is fueled by the progress of the technology ans smartphones .This has a positive effect on packaging demand, usually a simple brown shipping container made from corrugated material.
The corrugating Division
The corrugating division together with the packaging division was the first division of Eagle paper International. When we started, 25 years ago, we wanted to cater to industrial packaging; corrugating grades were the perfect direction for us to achieve our goals.

We use our global network and offices to source for each grade the right mills, Our Virgin grades are sourced mainly in North America and Russia, our recycled grades sources in Europe and the neighboring regions to match the specialty of each sector of the corrugating grades to its market.
