Top Knife Collars

Dienes is a world leader in knife holder technology. Knife collar assemblies are manufactured to the finest tolerances for the perfect slit edge. Dienes manufactures these assemblies in a variety of locking designs including eccentric locking devices where a series of steel balls in conjunction with split rings cause the rings to tighten on a shaft securing the knife holder onto the shaft. Knife collar assemblies are also manufactured as plain bore where locking nuts and precision spacers secure the top knife holder to the top shaft. A third design employs brass tip set screws where the operator merely turns the set screw clamping the top knife collar to the male slitting shaft. Extremely narrow cutting widths may be achieved using this technology. Dienes is the original manufacturer in making custom designs to meet our customer’s needs.
