With a locking force of up to 1,000 kN, which is higher than a holding brake, Dellner’s locking mechanisms provide a compact, cost effective solution for holding brake shafts safely and securely in place. On marine vessels, the lock will stay engaged even in ship failure modes.
The locking devices, which come in manual, hydraulic and electric versions, have a specially designed tapered pawl that is inserted into a machined slot on the brake disc or shaft flange and are equipped with proximity switches for on/off detection. The LM series is ideal for use with propulsion shaft lines, conveyors, windmills, dredgers and grinding applications.
The locking devices come with manual, hydraulic and electrical power, offering maximum locking force ranging from 125 kN (LM 20) to 1,000 kN (LM 95).
