    Case Example

When Mike Rich, Inc. decides to get into the process printing, they began with the purchase of a distressed 20-year-old Kidder 660. The 60" x 48" CI cylinder was badly scratched and corroded and budget was limited. Plant Engineer, Bruce Hilleman, tells the story: "We felt, with proper reconditioning, we'd have a good 6-color web, so I got busy researching. Bender CCP name came up again and again and, in the end, it was obvious why. They did a superb job. The entire process-grinding, spraying and repairs-was about 2 1/2 days. The restored drum surpassed OEM specs and my expectations by far. We had post-grind runouts of .0003 and 8 RMS finish. And our first process job took third place in a print competition sanctioned by the Flexo Technical Association. The Bender CCP restoration has opened up a world of opportunities for us."
