Aslan Technologies’ Greensand filtration process oxidizes and precipitates iron, sulfur, and manganese by contact with the greensand media. Once minerals are precipitated, the sand can be backwashed to remove the sediments and periodically regenerated through the application of potassium permanganate. In cases of high concentration, greensand filtration skids are integrated with additional chemical treatments to provide consistent and sophisticated treatment.
