The basis of the corrugating rolls are high-quality, heat-resistant steel alloys, which are deep-hardened by means of ring induction. The resulting base hardness of at least 62 HRC leads after heating the rollers to operating temperature to a permanent hardness of at least 58 HRC, which persists even after regeneration of the profile and regrinding.
